Google data use
Effective [effective date]
Topmast's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to theGoogle API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What we access, and why
Email status sync (part of Topmast Pro, coming later) is the only feature that uses Google data, and only if you connect your Gmail account. With your permission, Topmast reads recent messages to find updates about your job applications (rejections, interview invites, assessments and recruiter replies) and suggests status changes in your tracker. Signing in with Google, if you choose it, gives us only your name and email address.
What we keep
For each job-related message we keep the date, the sender's domain, the kind of update, how confident we are, and a short summary. We never store message bodies, and we ignore messages that aren't about your job search.
Limited Use
- We use Google data only to provide and improve the email status sync you turned on.
- We transfer it to others only as needed for that feature (for example, to our AI provider to classify a message), to comply with the law, or as part of a sale of Topmast with your data protected the same way.
- We never use it for advertising, and we never sell it.
- We never use it to develop, improve or train generalized AI or machine learning models.
- No person reads your email unless you ask us to (for example for support), it's needed for security or to investigate abuse, or the law requires it.
Turning it off
You can disconnect Gmail in Topmast's settings or in your Google account at any time. We then delete the access we were given and stop reading your email. To delete the details we derived, delete them in the app or write to [contact email].
