Your account
- You must be at least 16 and able to agree to these terms.
- Give accurate sign-up details, and keep your sign-in secure. You're responsible for what happens in your account.
- Tell us right away if you think someone else has used it.
Your content
What you put into Topmast (jobs, notes, documents and so on) stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only to run Topmast for you, including the features you turn on. Our Privacy Policy says how we handle it.
Using Topmast fairly
Don't:
- break the law, or use Topmast to harass, spam or deceive anyone;
- try to get into accounts or data that aren't yours, or probe, overload or disrupt our systems;
- scrape Topmast, or use it to scrape sites whose terms forbid it;
- resell Topmast or copy it to build a competing service.
We may suspend accounts that do, and we'll tell you why unless the law or security stops us.
The beta
Topmast is in private beta. Features will change, some may be removed, and there may be bugs or downtime. Keep your own copy of anything you can't afford to lose.
AI features
AI results (matches, scores, drafts, summaries) can be wrong or incomplete. Review them before relying on them or sending them to anyone. You are responsible for what you send to employers and contacts.
Pro and payments (coming later)
Pro will be a paid subscription. Before you're charged, you'll see the price and billing terms, and you'll choose to subscribe. Payments go through our payment providers or the app stores, and you can cancel at any time; Pro then lasts until the end of the period you paid for.
Other services
Some features connect to other services (for example Gmail, Outlook, or job boards' public listings). Their terms apply to your use of them, and we aren't responsible for them.
Ending things
You can stop using Topmast and delete your account at any time. We may end or suspend your access if you break these terms, or stop offering Topmast with reasonable notice. Sections that by their nature should last (your content, disclaimers, liability) continue afterwards.
Disclaimers
Topmast is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we make no warranties, express or implied, including that it will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that it will help you get a job.
Limit of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or lost profits, data or opportunities. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before it, or US$50.
Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of [state], United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before filing a claim, write to us so we can try to sort it out.
Changes
We may update these terms. We'll change the date at the top and, for important changes, tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Using Topmast after that means you accept them.
